Nervecentre V9.0 Help for Users
Booking follow-up appointments
You can book follow-up appointments for a patient. You can:
-
Book a single follow-up appointment
For example, after a patient's initial appointment, you might want to book a follow-up for one month later to check how the patient is.
-
Book repeating follow-up appointments
For example, you might book a follow-up appointment to be every third week of the month on a Thursday.
-
Book a series of appointments
For example, for diabetes, you might book three appointments on the same day: a retinopathy screening, a foot examination, and a blood test.
-
Book a cross-specialty appointment
For example, the patient had their initial appointment, and needs an appointment with another specialty.
Usually, you book a follow-up appointment after a patient's initial appointment, but for specific types of appointment you can book the follow-up before the initial appointment. For example, you might be able to book an unattended appointment, where the consultant reviews the patient's notes, before the initial face-to-face appointment with the patient.
